Pregnancy tests are normally done in order to know the development of the child in the womb of the mother. The medical technology is applied in knowing the status of the womb of the mother. The test of the mother's womb is done through the machine of ultra sound by which all the details of inside is shown on the screen of the computer. Now a days it is seen that most of the mothers just in order to see whether a child in the womb is a girl and boy go for an advance test so that the parents of the child should get themselves prepared accordingly.  However due to excessive checks and rise of early death of the child in the womb by way of abortion has compelled the government to put a ban upon such practise and the pathological centres have been directed to stop doing such advance test so that early abortions should be avoided by the parents.

The concept of such tests has increased the level of crime to a great extent and is required to be taken care of and checked accordingly. However the machines like ultra sound etc. which are used for the purposes of pregnancy tests are quite expensive and require a huge investment in establishing it. Apart from it, certain researches are still going on just in order to develop latest machines for the purposes of conducting the tests.

Parents in today's time look forward to have a baby boy rather than a girl because the parents feel more secured with a boy in future rather than a girl. The reason behind it is, that the boy can act as a bread winner for there family members but from girl it cannot be expected because of the fact that girl will leave the house of there parents but the boy shall always remain with there parents. The question of how accurate are pregnancy tests always remains because of the above stated reasons.
